What is the PTO?
PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. We are dedicated to providing the best educational experiences to our most important resources, the students of Ivey Ranch Elementary.
How can I become involved?
Join us at our monthly meetings typically held on the last Wednesday of the month from 6:30-7:30pm, (notifications will be posted for changes) follow us on Facebook and Instagram!
In what ways does the PTO help the school?
Each year, the PTO sponsors a variety of fundraisers in which the proceeds are put directly to use for enhancements in the classrooms, curriculum, student recognition, community events, and playground improvements that otherwise would not be possible without the support of our Ivey Ranch community.
How does the PTO raise money?
We raise money through a variety of fundraisers during the school year. Our biggest fundraiser is our annual Apex Fun Run in March. The Apex Fun Run teaches our students teamwork, leadership skills, and to embrace an active lifestyle.
How can I volunteer for PTO committees?
Come and join us at our monthly meetings or email the Co-presidents, Kristin or Amy, at president@iveyranchpto.org.
How can I become a PTO Board Member or Committee Chairperson?
Each spring parents elect Board Members for the upcoming year. Board positions are posted on the PTO website. If you would like additional information about available positions, please contact Kristin or Amy.
I would like to help but I’m not sure what to do, are there specific ways to help without becoming a board member?
Yes! We love parents to join us at meetings and share their thoughts. We are also in need of assistance in the following areas:
- Garden Chairperson
- If you have a green thumb or know someone that does we would love your help! We are brainstorming ideas to help keep our campus beautiful. Ideas: helping with ground-cover in the front of the school, garden projects on campus, or??
- Grants
- If you are able to help research grants, please let us know! There are state and federal grants available for various school improvement projects.
- Creative Team
- Our Performing Arts class for Innovation Rotation is in need of volunteers to be on our creative team. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Casey Jones at creativeteam@iveyranchpto.org.
What did the PTO do last year?
- Provided money for funding for classroom teachers, health office, library, music program, PE program, playground, Running Club, Spirit Wear and Star of the Week prizes, Talent Show supplies, Teacher Appreciation week, Innovation Rotation & updated technology for our school.
- Without your help, donations and attendance to events this would not be possible!
